Produced by SynGate Records, "Fear of the emptiness Space" is the first Collaboration between Gabriele Quirici (Perceptual Defence) from Roma (Italy) and Danny Budts (Syndromeda) from Antwerp (Belgium).

Everything started in 2013 when me and Danny became Friends on Facebook. I knew Syndromeda's Music for a long Time and I liked his Berlin Style Music that have something Dark (for example I love his "Waiting for the Second Sun"Album) .

In November 2013 Danny wrote me that he loved my "Illumina Tenebras" Album and i was very Happy about.
After talking a lot about Music but also Psychology and other metaphisical Topics, we discovered that we had something in common.
Since I always liked Films like Alien or Solaris and everything that talked about Space and Electronic Artists like Michael Stearns or the Nightcrawlers that have made fantastic Space Albums, I asked syndromeda to create something together. So, Danny Sent me some Recording and so I did.
The Result are two Great Long Space-Dark-Ambient-Berlin Style Tracks (more than 30 min each) that reflects our two personal Music Styles

The idea was to create a Space Voyage searching the Aliens but also a Voyage inside ourself (our Alien Part) that can fear us because we think it is empty! The idea was not to express the fear of the emptiness of Space (I mean in the astronomical meaning) but the fear of emptiness Space (in the psychological meaning). That means a different emotive Fear of our inside personality.
It is for this Reason that I've choosed the Title FEAR OF THE EMPTINESS SPACE.

With Danny I decided to involve other Friends for the Release of this Album. Apart Kilian of SynGate who was so kind to produce it for his Luna SynGate Label, I involved Andreas Schwietzke (both from Germany) in creating the Space Alien Covers and the result was Fantastic. I asked also our Friend Sylvain Mazars from France to write a little Script for the cover and he was able to express the Meaning and the Sensation of it:

creatures from outer space teaching mankind
their wisdom?
Built on dark revolving textures and crepuscular
sequences, this album has only one purpose:
to warn us.
The universe could be anything but such a
great place to encounter new lifeforms.

And last but not least John Valk from Holland who broadcasted the Album on his Radioshow on www.radiosunrise.de the 28th MArch 2014

It is funny that we made somehow an European Album!
